About Me

I’m Axizart, a figurative artist creating emotionally driven work that explores sexuality, queer identity, intimacy, passion, and human connection. My practice centres on feeling over spectacle. Rather than presenting intimacy as something fully revealed, I’m interested in creating space for suggestion, inviting viewers to enter the work without giving them complete access to it. The viewer becomes part of the painting, bringing their own experiences, interpretations, and narratives into what they see.

I create emotional pieces that explore layered experiences and sensory connection. Transparency, both visually and emotionally, sits at the centre of my work. I’m drawn to moments that feel lived rather than performed, and the spaces between what is shown and what is understood.

Experience is my greatest source of inspiration.

My earliest foundation in art came from my grandad, Brian Hollington, whose guidance taught me the fundamentals and gave me the freedom to see art as something expressive rather than fixed. That influence continues to shape how I approach making.

Through original works and commissions, I create pieces that invite connection while leaving room for mystery, because sometimes the most powerful part of an image is what remains unsaid. I’m interested in creating work that lingers, inviting viewers to return, reconsider, and find something new each time.
